Jewellery at Paris Fashion Week 2014

This was my third year running at Paris Fashion Week, where I head to seek out the very best in up and coming international jewellery design, and boy it did not disappoint. Both on the street and at the infamous Box and Tranoi shows, there was breathtaking jewellery and accessories that quite literally rendered me speechless.

One thing that very quickly became apparent, is that the trend for statement jewellery certainly isn't going anywhere.  There were pieces that took the meaning of 'statement' to a whole new level...and there was no shortage of Swarovski crystal elements amongst many of the designer collections we discovered.

A definite trend towards tribal and native american influenced jewellery still prevails, but designers use this as inspiration to create truly unique and innovative interpretations that are fresh and exciting.

Some of my favourite designers that frequent the shows were still on the scene, but a refreshing burst of new talent was present too, which made for some very interesting designer hunting.

As always, I took the opportunity to snap some of the fab street style and jewellery that I witnessed across the 2 days I was there, and here's a little taste of what I found....

These Venna statement jewellery pieces were awe inspiring to look at, and the girls at the stand showed them off to perfection.

The cuffs by Hirschell are breathtaking beyond belief and were some of my favourite finds from the trip.

The Ellen Conde collections were truly stunning, and the crystal theme that ran throughout gave the pieces an elegant yet contemporary edge. It was a pleasure to meet the designer herself as she walked me through her designs, and here I captured her in one of her stunning statement necklaces.

Highly acclaimed LA based designer Sogoli were also present at the Tranoi show and I couldnt help but swoon over their stunning SS15 collections.  The designer's cousin was there to show me the beautiful signature wrap bracelets that also double up as long necklaces that can be layered and knotted together.  I captured her here demonstrating how stunning four or five of the pieces stacked and layered can look.

Whilst in Paris I was also lucky enough to visit the Pink Heater showroom, where I browsed delectable collections of jewellery by other up and coming designers, one of which was the breathtaking Outhouse.  Pink Heater founder, Malika Benshila, modelled one of their statement necklaces perfectly, demonstrating how easily they can be dressed down for a chic and effortlessly cool daytime look.

The collection by the incredibly talented Italian designer, Silvia Rossi, quite literally blew my mind.  The combination of emerald greens and blacks carefully crafted out of acrylic by hand, were so striking to the eye, you had to do a double take to avoid thinking they were crystal.  Definitely one of my favourite finds from the shows!  Watch this space, as these pieces may be hitting the online boutique very soon....

Psychedelic chic accessorizing put forth by the model at the Miranda Konstantinidou stand.

I paid a visit to the incredible Fiona Paxton's stand, a designer we who we currently stock and adore here at Apache Rose...and what a treat to see her stunning pastel colour infused SS15 collection.

And here are a couple of fab street style shots I captured along the way....

Paris Fashion Week.... bon soir until 2015 x
